Snoop Dogg who you should all know as a US rap artist, is also the Co founder of Casa Verde. Casa Verde is a vulture capital (VC) fund based in Los Angeles that focuses on the cannabis industry.

Snoop tokin a nice fat blunt!

You have to admit this investment might have gone unnoticed had Snoop Dogg not been involved. I wonder how many big deals that have been struck which do not make the media? Let’s not forget for a period there was a big mystery in Portugal as to who imported the World's largest legal shipment of high THC cannabis

But while all this money is changing hands people like Cork’s Alicia Maher who remains a medical refugee, unable to return home as she would be criminalised for the medicine she needs. The most recent interview with Alicia is above where we talked about the recent health committee discussions on cannabis for medical use in Ireland.

Another patient still here in Ireland Jen Devlin, who suffers with severe chronic pain due to fibromyalgia and ankylosing spondylitis has to source her cannabis illegally. This is due to her consultants refusing to apply for her licence due to a "hospital policy banning cannabis". (interview with Jen below)

People also like Spain’s Albert Tio who is in prison now close to a year for his involvement with a cannabis collective in Barcelona, Spain. Albert is coming up to his 1st year spent in prison and has another 4 to go. His interview is lined below if you want to learn more about his story.

How long more can cannabis be regarded as a dangerous drug by our society? While at the very same time be a natural source of therapeutic compounds, with nowhere near as many harmful side effects as some over the counter medicines.

Don't forget if your a patient out there in Ireland and you currently use cannabis to treat your condition or you are interested in doing so then get in touch with the “Patients For Safe Access” . We will be happy to try to help in whatever way we can  (Note to reader: We cannot provide cannabis, yet.)
